James Newey

James became a Director 8 years ago having successfully managed Man Acoustics (Industrial Noise Control Engineers) before that. James is now Managing Director & owner of Fans & Blowers. Since then he & his fellow directors have invested over £450k bringing the manufacturing operation up to state-of-the-art capability. The business is nicely poised to continue to successfully compete for orders in the Fans & Blowers market. Where next for Fans & Blowers? Today - Delivering the best service & the best quality, and to grow at the same pace as our customers Tomorrow – We have a clear 10 year plan to technologically integrate all that we do inside our business, and with our customers.

When James is not working hard on seeing the business grow & develop, he enjoys spending time with his wife & 2 teenage daughters.

Duncan Keates

Duncan joined Fans & Blowers in 1995. In his time he has been a fitter, leading hand, a spell in the drawing office & then engineering sales. For the last 2 years Duncan has been heading up the sales team as sales manager. During this time sales have grown by over 30% (modesty prevents Duncan from saying why sales have gone so well during his time at the helm!)

When Duncan is not leading his sales team, he can be seen managing & coaching Burnham United juniors football team or acting as a taxi for his 2 kids.

Bill Dawes

If experience is what you are after, then Bill is your man. He has over 50 years experience, working in the Fans & Blowers Industry! He started his apprenticeship with one of the Industry leaders of the time, and now he is finishing it with todays market leader! Bill’s expertise spans from all things technical, Engineering and Commercial.

When Bill isn’t at work (still a rare occurrence!) he can be found enjoying Motor GP & F1 events, or watching his sons excel in karting

Jeff Thorne

Jeff has been with us man & boy (well over 26 years anyway). During that time he has tackled most jobs in the business. After 19 years on the shopfloor, Jeff had a stint in the buying office (5 years) before having his current role in the sales office since mid-2009. A versatile all-rounder!

When he isn’t at work Jeff enjoys several hobbies, including watching motorsport and being a Martial Arts Instructor.

Steve Wyatt

Steve joined us in 2000 in the R & D Engineering team, becoming an expert in stripping down fans (his record still hasn’t been beaten!). Performance testing was the watch word for Steve in this role. In 2006 Steve moved to join the Site Service team and successfully did this role until coming in the buying office for the last 2 years.

Steve is joining the sales team in 2011 to be the 3rd technical sales engineer in our team.

When Steve isn’t setting records, driving forklifts or generally helping out at Fans & Blowers, he’s often seen enjoying the outdoor life playing golf, cycling or playing squash (hotly pursued by his young son).

Robert Cole

Robert is the latest member of the Fans & Blowers management team, joining in 2011. Rob is a “time served” engineer with over 40 years’ engineering and managerial experience in a wide range of manufacturing industries serving customers who demand high performance quality products. These industries range from industrial heaters through to access equipment. The role of Quality Manager is well suited to Rob with his in-depth knowledge of the International Quality Standard ISO 9001 and its integration into our business, so furthering our aims of enhanced customer satisfaction and continual business improvement.

When he’s not promoting customer values at Fans & Blowers Roberts idea of relaxation is exploring our glorious South West countryside (and pubs) or unwinding by having a “serious creative session” with his bass and home recording equipment. Some people never grow up!
