Casing
Steel plate of welded construction adequately stiffened to prevent drumming and vibration.
Access to the impeller is given by removing the bolted cover on the casing inlet side, sealed by a nitrile rubber "O" ring. Inlet and outlet flanges to B.S. 4504 table 6 are standard.

Impeller (GB sixes 16" to 34" diameter)
Precision built from aluminium components, of riveted construction with a turned mild steel hub, fitted to the motor shaft by a B.S. metric gib head key.

Impeller (GB sizes 36" and all GX sizes)
Precision built from stainless steel components, of riveted construction with a turned mild steel hub, fitted to the motor shaft by a B.S. metric gib head key.

Shaft Seal
Two nitrile rubber lip sealds with grease nipple for relubrication. The seals are fitted into a housing which is bolted to the endshield of the motor and screwed to the booster casing. the joint between housing and casing is sealed with a nitrile rubber "O" -ring.

Motor
Totally enclosed fan cooled induction motor to B.S. 4999 & 5000 as applicable, with class F insulation, the motor is provided with an extended shaft to facilitate sealing, mounted an a substantial pedestal, integral with the booster casing and forms the base of the unit.
